Barasat Anweshan

Barasat Anweshan is a non-profit seeking, non-government development organization committed to improving the quality of life in West Bengal through several socio-economic development projects – pilot and enduring undertaken by the society. The society has been functional since 2003 and has since then undertaken several development projects including microcredit to rural poor, education to the underprivileged section of the community and serving the orphans through setting up of an orphanage. Besides, several other projects including blood donation, skill development etc. has been undertaken during this period. The year 2015-16 has seen mixed successes and has remained primarily remarkable for the school unit of the society receiving affiliation of the Government of West Bengal. The orphanage which is being run from the past as an endeavor of the society has sought affiliation from the Government of West Bengal and the same has proceeded making us hopeful in the matter of receiving official recognition in the coming future.
