The Refuge

At “The Refuge” our mission is to look after orphan children, sick, old, under-privileged and homeless people belonging to the different strata of the society. The condition of the orphans is abysmal and in reality, there is a scarcity of good charity homes to rehabilitate them. The destitute elders are left alone by their family and there are no proper old-age homes to take care of them. We are trying to help them all work with compassion, philanthropy, sympathy and commitment to become a trustworthy NGO. We provide shelter, education, nutrition, excursion and sports to the deprived children, adolescents and elderly. We believe in enlightenment, combat illiteracy and malnutrition, and helping the orphans so that they don’t feel wretched and helpless. Even physically and mentally handicapped people, sick and old citizens are assisted and nurtured, irrespective of their caste or creed. We are also aware that there are people out there who are compassionate about the homeless and the frail. This institution is built in the heart of the city over a sprawling 81,760.243 Square Feet of land and it has the potential for expansion depending on the sum required to establish a new orphanage home. This will minimize our helplessness of refusing admission to very deserving applicants. At present there are 350 inmates and we endeavor to provide them security, improve their standard of their living and help them to lead a dignified life. With our programs and services, we constantly strive to make sure that the orphans, sick and elderly get the proper care and attention.
